One of our primary missions is to help facilitate a universal awareness of the beauty and elegance of Indonesian culture. To achieve our goal, ICC members are available to the general public for a range of cultural education services, including: discussion forums, arts demonstration, master classes, performances and full concerts. Our aim is to educate, while entertaining all types of audiences. We provide our services to schools, universities, professional organizations, businesses, religious groups, or anyone interested in discovering the richness of Indonesian culture. ICC presents specific subjects related to Indonesian traditional culture. Subject matter may include history, traditional customs, geography, religion, music, or foods. A guest speaker is invited, followed by a question and answer session with all participants.
The ICC dance company performs a selection of dances, where the artistic director explains the history of the dance, origin, significance, costuming, and the role the dance plays in traditional custom. The demonstration is interactive, as the audience is invited to learn dance movements alongside the performers.
Dance Classes:
Group classes are available to dancers of all ages and skill levels. Private sessions are also available upon request.
Performances:
Performances may vary from 10 to 30 minutes, and they include a small team of dancers. Our performances are suitable for all audiences, and can be accomodated in diverse facilities (both indoor and outdoor).
Full concerts:
Full concerts may vary from 60 to 90 minutes and feature all ICC Dance Company members, plus singers and stage crew. In full concerts, we perform a major work from our rich repertoire in a venue that is suitable to a production of grand scale - typically a theater or auditorium.
